What is an Employer of Record?
With EOR, the service provider is the legal employer. Hongxian Laos signs the employment contract, pays the salary and handles social security, income tax and labour paperwork, while you direct the work. That lets a company employ staff legally in Laos without having a company there.
With EOR, are the staff our employees?
They report to you day to day and you manage and review them; the legal employment relationship sits with Hongxian Laos. This is written into the service agreement and explained to the employee at onboarding.
How is EOR different from payroll outsourcing alone?
With payroll outsourcing you are already the employer and we calculate, pay and file for you. With EOR we also take on the legal employer role, which is what companies without a Lao entity need. The two can be used separately.
Can you recruit the people as well?
Yes. The talent pool holds 10,000+ Lao resumes, each labelled with the candidate's Chinese level. Recruitment and EOR can run together, so new hires move straight onto the EOR arrangement.
Who handles a labour dispute?
Hongxian Laos handles employee-relations matters under Lao labour law, including disputes, work injury and sick leave. Anything significant is discussed with you before we act.
